Emerging countries (mainly in Asia).

*Other emerging countries beyond Asia can be included if all the requirements are fulfilled.

Eligible students

  • ・Students in faculties and graduate schools of Tsukuba University.
  • ・Around twenty students will be selected for the program every year.

Program requirements

Students will be presented with a Tsukuba Global Certificate of Completion after the program requirements are complete

① Local language studies (at least 3 credits)
② Lectures related to global challenges and emerging countries (at least 6 credits)
・ Global challenges subjects (at least 2 credits)
・ Global South subjects (at least 2 credits)
・ Area studies subjects (at least 2 credits)
③ Short-term training in the chosen emerging country (at least one session)
④ Online English lecture (at least one session)
⑤ Public lectures (at least three times)

 

Annual Schedule

① Application period: May to August

② Application procedure:
   ・Submit the application form, your reasons for applying to the program, and your grades to
      the Tsukuba Global⁺ office.
   ・After submission, an interview will be held with a Tsukuba Global⁺ faculty member.

③ Selection:
    Students will be selected in September based on their reasons for applying to the program
  and GPA.

④ Participation:
    An orientation will be held for the students in October.

⑤ Program completion :
    The President of the University will present the students with a Tsukuba GlobalCertificate
 of Completion.
